HECHT 54803 is a small accu quad designed for leisure activities. Although it is powered by a battery-powered electric motor, it is a relatively nimble machine that can easily develop a speed of around 25 km/h. The electric drive is completely silent, with no emissions, so it will not be a problem to operate it even in many places where the use of machines with internal combustion engines is prohibited. It does not scare animals on forest paths and does not pollute. 

You can avoid complaints from neighbours about noise and the smell of exhaust fumes from the petrol engine. A key box is used as the main switch. This ensures that the quad bike, for example, will not be used by children without their parents' knowing. To make driving even safer, a second key can be used to set the speed limiter up to a minimum speed of 8 km/h. The speed limiter cannot be switched off without this second key, thus ensuring that an inexperienced driver can arbitrarily increase the speed. Where the fuel filler cap is on conventional quads, there is then a switch to select forward, reverse and off. Travel and speed control is done classically by turning the "throttle" handle on the right handlebar. There is also a battery charge indicator next to the handle. Next to the left handle you will find the headlight switch. Another safety feature is the foot pedal, which must be kept depressed with your foot in order to ride it. If a careless driver rolls over while riding the machine, for example, as soon as he releases the foot pedal, the engine will stop, even if he keeps holding the throttle grip. Likewise, this ensures that the machine will not start if the throttle is accidentally turned when mounting, etc.The machine is equipped with disc brakes, the front and rear brakes being operated separately by levers on the handlebars. However, the effect on cornering is minimal. The two driven rear wheels, on the other hand, are particularly useful on unpaved terrain. The rear axle is suspended as a unit, the front wheels are suspended on separate arms. The quad is powered by a 1000 W electric motor, which is powered by a Lead-acid 36 V, 12 Ah battery. Charging time with the included charger is 6 to 8 hours. The range per charge is up to 18 km depending on load and terrain. Of course, range is also affected by the use of lights or riding style.
