The HECHT 953 chainsaw has a reliable two-stroke engine with a displacement of 52 cc and a maximum power of 2.6 HP. The chain speed is 28.2 m/s. The bar length is 39 cm. These parameters make the saw a light and powerful helper in the category of home and hobby saws.
For the ergonomic design of the saw modern materials, quality steel, lightweight aluminum alloys and durable plastics have been used. By combining them in the right way, excellent durability, optimum balance and low weight have been achieved. Suitably shaped handles allow the saw to be held securely and safely in all working positions. The saw is equipped with an anti-vibration system that maximally suppresses the transmission of unpleasant vibrations to the handles caused by the powerful motor. Hands are therefore not overly stressed by vibrations and work is much more comfortable.
Great emphasis has been placed on safety at work. The saw is equipped with a safety brake and the average chain stopping time from maximum speed is 0.1 s. Another safety feature is the positioning of a pair of saw trigger elements on the main handle, which significantly reduce the risk of unintentionally starting the chain feed when the engine is running. The saw is equipped with a steel tooth support which, when used correctly, prevents the saw from jumping out of the cut during shocks caused, for example, by the chain getting caught in the cut.
The saw is supplied with a 39 cm long OREGON bar. The chain and bar are lubricated automatically during cutting by a pump from a tank integrated directly in the saw.
