HECHT 1845 is electric rotary lawn mower, manually pushed, based on metal chassis, which has not only sufficent rigidity but also provides to operator a sufficient protection from any objects accidentally thrown by the knives. The lawn mower is powered by an electric high torque “turbo engine“ with 1800 W, which provides sufficient power for 46 cm long steel knives. Central adjustment of cutting height is set by only lever in the range of 30 - 75 mm. Despite the massive design has this lawn mower a quite low weight of 23.8 kg. These parameters makes it suitable for regular maintenance of areas to 1000 m².

The lawn mowers of this class is equipped with a folded handlebar. The big advantage is also a switch lever, which is places across the handlebar. This makes possible to keep the lawn mower by the one hand and the other one use f.e. for safe handling of the power cable. Common equipment is also saftety button; preventing accidental starting and also cable strain relief.

Capacious grass collector with volume of 60 l, has a mechanical indication of fulfillment. The collector is equipped with a small flap in the rear part, which is lifted by the air flow comes from the rotor. The flap changes its position and thus has an operator constant overview of the collector fulfillment.

Interesting feature is also the “EDGE CUTTING“. Thanks to the cleverly shaped chassis can this lawn mower cut also along walls and fences and the knives reach almost to the edge of the lawn.  Finishing after mowing, f.e. by a suitable trimmer is then significantly easier and faster, and in many cases is not needed.

This lawn mower is equipped with a function of “MULCHING“. A supplement included in the price  is mulching set to plug a discharge to the grass collector. Special designed knives then cut the grass to fine pieces. Clippings then falls through the grass to its roots, where decompose and serve as a natural fertilizer. Interesting is that the mulch does not foul the grass by the felt, but, quite the contrary, it protects the grass against the moisture loss and thereby supports its healthy growth.

Thanks to an electric engine is work with the lawn mower very easy. The disadvantage is a need of a power cable but it is substantially compensated by easy start, operation and compared with combustion engines also by easier maintenance, which significantly reduced the operating costs.
