Engine and Controls

The power unit is equipped with a four-stroke HECHT OHV engine with a displacement of 212 cm³, which achieves a maximum power output of 5.4 HP (4 kW). The engine's operating speed is 3600 rpm. The weight of the power unit is 72 kg.

Most of the control elements of the HECHT 7100 power unit are accessible directly from the operator's position. On the handlebars you will find the engine switch, throttle lever, clutch lever, whilst the gear lever is located below the handlebars. Directly on the engine you will only find the choke lever, fuel tap and the starter cord at the front.

The handlebars are adjustable in height and direction; by releasing a single lever they can be loosened, adjusted to the desired height and lateral angle, and firmly fixed in the chosen position by tightening. This allows you to adjust their position for comfortable tractor steering, as well as for cultivator operation, so that the grip is maximally comfortable and does not cause unnecessary strain during work.

Supplied Accessories

For use of the power unit as a single-axle tractor, a pair of large 12" wheels with coarse tread is supplied, which improves traction on terrain. The wheels are supplied on shafts with a slip pinion, which allows their partial rotation. This essentially partially emulates the function of a differential and thus enables very easy turning. The trailer is connected to the power unit using the supplied drawbar, which allows free tilting of the trailer longitudinally and thus prevents twisting of the structure when driving over uneven terrain. The trailer itself is equipped with a sprung comfortable seat, metal footrests with anti-slip treatment, pedal foot brake, as well as a handbrake for parking. The dimensions of the trailer bed are 134 x 92 x 34 cm. The bed itself is mounted on the support frame so that it can be conveniently tipped without the need to unhitch the trailer from the tractor. To tip it, simply release the bed using the lever under the seat. The large 500x12" wheels are suitable for movement on unpaved terrain; unlike some competing trailers which are fitted with small wheels, these large and wide wheels have lower rolling resistance on terrain. This difference is naturally more noticeable with a fully loaded trailer. The trailer's load capacity is 300 kg, including the operator up to 500 kg. Loading and unloading is facilitated by the removable rear panel. Although the trailer is not homologated for use on public roads, for increased safety it is fitted with reflectors.

The set also includes a set of three pairs of cultivation blades. The single-axle tractor can thus be easily converted into a powerful cultivator in less than five minutes, with blades of 33 cm diameter. Optionally, you can equip it with only four blades as needed, giving you a working width of 81 cm, or six blades for a working width of 104 cm. In cultivator mode, instead of the trailer drawbar, a reduction is fitted for attaching the skid, which serves as a brake when working in soil. By purchasing the set, you therefore get a complete and fully functional single-axle tractor and complete cultivator with three pairs of cultivation blades.

Optional Accessories

The HECHT 7100 can be further expanded with additional optional accessories. Currently available are a single-sided plough, potato digger, ridger, 12 kg wheel weights for improved traction, and iron paddle wheels. On the rear of the gearbox, under a removable cover, there is a drive shaft which allows the connection of some tools requiring power. This significantly expands the possibilities of using the HECHT 7100. We are currently preparing for sale, for example, a snow blower, drum mower, snow blade, as well as such accessories as a drinks holder for the handlebars, or a lamp with handlebar mount.

Machines ordered from online shops are dispatched in original packaging in a partially disassembled state; typically it is necessary to attach handles, handlebars, control levers, etc. to the machine. Putting the machine into operation therefore requires a certain technical skill, so we recommend purchasing more complex machines from one of our physical shops, where they will be completely assembled and put into operation by qualified staff.
