Electric Generators

Petrol electric generators are powered by two-stroke, or four-stroke combustion engines. They are often also referred to as generator sets, petrol generator sets, motor generators, power units, or power stations. They serve to generate electrical energy in locations where mains electricity is not available, or as a backup power source for operating and powering various electrical appliances.

For powering appliances such as light bulbs or simple machines with electric motors (drills etc.), an affordable power unit with capacitive regulation will suffice. For trouble-free and stable connection of electronic devices, it is then necessary to choose generators with so-called AVR regulation (Automatic Voltage Regulation), which prevents voltage fluctuations during operation. For powering sensitive electronics and computers, we recommend inverter power stations, which generate voltage reaching peak characteristics.
